In 2009, I received my MFA in painting from Penn State University. Since that time, my art making has transitioned into a social art practice. My current project Burka Fittings Across America invites randomly selected people on the street to experience the sensations of wearing and seeing themselves in the burka. Can art inspire empathy and bridge cultural divides? Recently, I have presented my work at Brandeis University, Middlebury College, Dartmouth College, and the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. In addition to my art practice, I work creatively in television, film, and theater as a costume designer and scenic artist.
